Door

Yasuko is a housewife who lives with her husband in an apartment in the city center. Tired of constant calls to the telephone and door from salespeople, she makes a catastrophic mistake: she slams the door on the fingers of a salesman who was trying to slip a flyer through the crack. The salesman eventually leaves, but Yasuko’s nightmare has just begun. “Door” is a slow-burning home invasion thriller, but its final explosion is hard to surpass. It serves as a precursor to the J-horror genre that would start arriving a few years later and deserves to be seen and recognized.
