Los 10 miles a 2&#8217;49&#8221; de media, y el 1000 restante a 2&#8217;33&#8221;. Para rematar los 200 a 2&#8217;27&#8221; &#8216;soltando piernas&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>A todo esto le sumamos el rodaje matutino y el bloque de calentamiento de las series, que en total suman 45 kil\u00f3metros en un solo d\u00eda. M\u00e1s de lo que el resto de mortales acostumbramos a totalizar en una semana entera.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Un d\u00eda cualquiera en Eldoret<\/h4>\n<p>A <strong>Julien Wanders<\/strong> le apodan &#8220;El Keniata blanco&#8221;, ya que es de los pocos atletas no africanos que entrena en el grupo de It\u00e9n, junto a los mejores fondistas del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Sus v\u00eddeos de Instagram son una gozada para la vista. Ver como grupos de 20 o 30 atletas inundan los caminos de tierra del Valle del Rift a las 6 de la ma\u00f1ana para completar entrenos que rondan una media de 25km por sesi\u00f3n, es sin duda espectacular. Por no hablar de sus ritmos, estamos hablando de gente que corre c\u00f3modamente por debajo de 3&#8217;05&#8221;\/km en la mayor\u00eda de sus rodajes. Unos purasangres.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>El presente y futuro del atletismo europeo<\/h4>\n<p>El suizo ha conseguido en dos a\u00f1os, consolidarse como un rival directo para los legendarios dominadores del fondo mundial, los et\u00edopes y los kenianos. De hecho les ha batido en m\u00faltiples ocasiones, adem\u00e1s de pulverizar por el camino las plusmarcas continentales de mitos del atletismo como <strong>Mo Farah.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El atleta de Nike, con tan s\u00f3lo 23 a\u00f1os, ya ostenta tres r\u00e9cords de Europa y adem\u00e1s fue part\u00edcipe de la reciente gesta de <strong>Eliud Kipchoge\u00a0<\/strong>en Viena, con esta mete\u00f3rica carrera, es cuesti\u00f3n de tiempo de que <strong>Wanders\u00a0<\/strong>se haga con alg\u00fan metal en alguno de los mundiales o, porqu\u00e9 no, con una medalla ol\u00edmpica.<\/p>\n<p>Junto a su nombre, a\u00f1adimos el de <strong>Jakob Ingerbrigtsen,\u00a0<\/strong>que no le va a regalar nada al de Ginebra, y aunque de momento se est\u00e9 desarrollando en distancias m\u00e1s explosivas, ya ha dado sobradas muestras de la calidad que aguarda en sus piernas para correr un 5 o un 10k a ritmos de infierno.<\/p>\n<p>Se considera un loco del entrenamiento, y aunque le guste competir, saborea cada segundo que le arranca al crono, sesi\u00f3n tras sesi\u00f3n, d\u00eda a d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>La preparaci\u00f3n mental de Wanders<\/h4>\n<p>&#8220;Es primordial. Creo que hay dos barreras. Una barrera a largo plazo, que empujamos cada d\u00eda , sesi\u00f3n tras sesi\u00f3n, que se convierte en disciplina y motivaci\u00f3n para la carrera.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Despu\u00e9s est\u00e1 esa barrera del d\u00eda de la carrera, la que hay que romper para superarte y ganar. Romper esta te llevar\u00e1 al nivel m\u00e1s alto, mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 que el l\u00edmite f\u00edsico. Muchas personas tienen ese talento pero fallan en el campo de la mente. La clave est\u00e1 en persistir &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Por suerte, cuento con un psic\u00f3logo que conoc\u00ed hace tres a\u00f1os. Tan pronto vuelvo a Ginebra lo visito, 4 o 5 veces al a\u00f1o.
