At AELO Swiss Academy, we pride ourselves on offering an exceptional suite of courses designed to shape the next generation of elite pilots. Whether you’re aiming to deepen your skills with an advanced license or seeking specialized training to refine critical manoeuvres, each program at AELO Swiss Academy is crafted by industry experts and guided by our seasoned instructors, two-thirds of whom are current airline pilots. With facilities built to the highest standards, including state-of-the-art simulators, a fleet of modern aircraft, and comprehensive ground resources, AELO is equipped to bring out the best in every student.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Our CPL (Commercial Pilot License) program is designed for aspiring pilots who wish to fly professionally. This course emphasizes the competencies needed to operate in commercial environments, with a strong focus on the skills required for decision-making, advanced aircraft handling, and safe, efficient operation. With guidance from experienced instructors, many of whom are active airline captains, you’ll gain the expertise to confidently progress to your airline career.
Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)
The MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) course is essential for pilots preparing to join airline operations. Focused on teamwork, communication, and decision-making within a multi-crew environment, this course combines classroom theory with practical training on our MPS 737NG Flight Training Device (FTD), ensuring a solid foundation in the dynamics of a professional cockpit.
Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC)
Our APS MCC program takes MCC training a step further, aligning with the Airline Pilot Standards (APS) required by leading airlines. The APS MCC course, conducted on the MPS 737NG FTD, builds competencies beyond the basic MCC syllabus, focusing on advanced flight deck procedures and emergency scenarios. This enhanced training provides graduates with the tools to excel in airline assessments and the skills needed for a successful airline career.
Instrument Rating (IR)
The Instrument Rating (IR) course prepares pilots to operate an aircraft in varying weather conditions and limited visibility. Covering both theory and practical instrument flight training, the IR program is key for those looking to enhance their navigational skills and safely fly in more complex operational conditions.
Competency-Based Instrument Rating (CB-IR)
Our CB-IR program offers an adaptable path to achieving an instrument rating based on each student’s experience level and skills. Perfect for licensed pilots seeking an efficient way to develop instrument flight skills, this course combines flexibility with rigorous standards to ensure competency in challenging flight environments.
Basic Instrument Rating (B-IR)
The B-IR (Basic Instrument Rating) course provides foundational training in instrument flying for private pilots. Focused on introductory techniques in instrument navigation and basic IFR operations, the B-IR course is an excellent choice for those who wish to expand their flight capabilities to more demanding conditions.
Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)
The Advanced UPRT course is a critical program designed to prevent and recover from unexpected aircraft upsets. Conducted on our Extra 200 aircraft, this training combines classroom instruction with hands-on flight exercises, equipping pilots to recognize, avoid, and safely recover from unusual attitudes. The UPRT program significantly enhances resilience, situational awareness, and confidence in any operational scenario.
Aerobatic Training
Our Aerobatic Training course is ideal for pilots looking to refine their handling skills and master advanced manoeuvring techniques. Performed on the Extra 200, this thrilling program teaches the fundamentals of aerobatics, including loops, rolls, and precise control during high-energy manoeuvres. This training not only enhances a pilot’s situational awareness and coordination but also provides invaluable skills that contribute to overall flight safety.
